Ways to Support
Every year, thousands of wild native Utah animals are injured or orphaned and cannot survive without human intervention. Wildlife Center of Salt Lake is a fully licensed and permitted nonprofit that needs your support in order to be able to provide vital life-saving services to wildlife here in Salt Lake County, with the goal of releasing them back into the wild. Please consider showing you support and see the list below for ways to contribute.
Monetary Donations
Monetary donations are at the top of the list, having the largest direct impact on animal survival and release. Get details about a tax-deductible monetary donation here or go directly to our donor platform here.
In-Kind Donations
Donations of items or goods such as animal food, bedding, cleaning supplies, and towels are also needed. See a list of items that we accept. If you don’t see an item on the list, or you would like to donate a large gift, please contact us to see if we need that item, or have room for it. Click here to go to our Amazon Wish List.
Employer Matching Donations
The company that you work for may match your monetary donation. We are happy to provide any documentation to be accepted into their program. Contact your company’s HR department for details and then let us know if we need to provide additional information.
Your donation will help Wildlife Center of Salt Lake provide the following:
Life-saving emergency care to ill, injured and orphaned wild animals in Utah
Care, food, shelter, and the gift of time for recovering wildlife patients until they are released back into their wild home.
Feed a raptor
We order food for our raptors from RodentPro. Rodent Pro facilitates charitable donations directly to Wildlife Center of Salt Lake through our food account. If you feel compelled to help birds of prey specifically (our most expensive patients!), we love getting donations put directly on our RodentPro account!
Volunteer
Volunteers are the life of our organization. WCSL could not exist without the work of dedicated volunteers. We accept volunteers for both short and long-term commitments and with all levels of skills. There are many volunteer types including administrative and animal-focused. Time dedication can vary to a few hours a month to several hours a week. Currently, we are only accepting administrative volunteers, due to the facility not being open just yet. If you are interested in helping get WCSL off the ground, please click here to learn more about the volunteer program.
