Squirrel Fest 2022. The Natural History Museum of Utah is leading a squirrel project - help NHMU scientists learn more about the behavior and locations of squirrels throughout the state, in particular, the introduced Eastern fox squirrel. Visit the website here to learn more about participating in this project.
Audubon Christmas Bird Count. Audubon describes this activity as “the nation’s longest-running community science bird project” and if you’ve ever participated in the Christmas Bird Count, you know there is nothing like bundling up and heading out with your binoculars, then coming home and fixing up a cup of warm cocoa after a day of bird-watching. Not only a winter activity, but a feather in your cap of science citizenship. Check it out by visiting the Audubon website here.
