Frequently Asked Questions
How do I capture an animal? Please review capture and containment instructions here
Does it cost anything to bring an animal in? No, our services are free to the public. As an independent nonprofit, we do not receive any funding from the federal government or state of Utah so donations are appreciated and go directly towards the care of the animals.
Do I leave the animal with WCSL? Yes, animals that are brought in for care are dropped off with us
What happens after I leave an animal with WCSL? Every patient is evaluated, a treatment plan is made for that animal, and our goal is to release widlife back into their habitat once they have been rehabilitated.
What if an animal is not able to be rehabilitated? Animals that cannot be released back into the wild are assessed as candidates for placement at a zoo or sanctuary, transferred to another rehabilitation facility, or are humanely euthanized.
