In-Kind Donations

Please see the list below for items that WCSL regularly needs to maintain its standard of care. If you have a donation that is not on the list, we welcome you to contact us to see if we can use the item.

We just moved into our South Salt Lake Location and have immediate needs before we can open our doors!

One-Time Needs

Frigidaire 7.0 Cu. ft. Chest Freezer, EFRF7003, White This is one of the last few large equipment items that we need. We only need 1 more of these freezers. If you have a used chest or upright freezer to donate, we would take any size.

Hot water tea kettle (need 1). We like the Amazon Basics kettle but we will take anything that works, new or used!

Rubber feed pan (need 4)

Heating pads (need several) This specific heating pad, Boncare Small Heating Pad, is the best for our use; however we would take any used heating pads that are in working condition.

Mop & bucket set and broom. We love the O-Cedar mop set and the O-Cedar broom and dust pan set.

50-100-ft hose. Any new or used donation of a hose would be greatly appreciated. We have a preference for this light weight one that we have on our Amazon Wist List.

Ongoing Needs

Home Goods - bath towels, hand towels, dish towels, flat sheets

We can take used or new items and prefer items with no embroidery or tassels.

Cleaning Supplies - bleach, dawn dish soap, vinegar, scrubbers, pipe cleaners, cleaning brushes, garbage bags (5 gal, 13 gal, 35 gal), etc.

It is best that these items are new or lightly used.

Pet Items or Equipment - glass tanks or terrariums, pet kennels, caging, reptile hides, bird cages, non-spill pet dishes, dog or bird toys, etc.

Personal Protective Equipment - N95 & N94 masks, other disposable masks, leather or other protective gloves (to handle raptors)

Medical Equipment and Supplies - Needles, syringes, oxygen tubes, oxygen concentrators, etc.

It is best that all medical supplies are new and sterile. We will accept used medical equipment like oxygen concentrators.

Food - non-expired (no sugar, no salt added) nuts, grains (oat groats, rolled oats, millet), seeds (safflower, sunflower, etc.).

New or used items are equally as valuable and we appreciate the effort put into cleaning an item before donation! If you have a large item, you can email us to see if we have room for it.

Feeling extra philanthropic? Check out our Amazon Wish List.

Medical Offices

We know that there are a lot of medical supplies that cannot be used for human medicine but are not contaminated. We can repurpose gowns that have been unwrapped and are no longer sterile, but are unused and still clean - we use them for PPE when handing potentially infectious wildlife. Getting donations from medical offices helps to offset our costs. We accept sterile needles and syringes, opened but unused gowns, drapes, saline flushes, etc. If you are unsure, please contact us.
